  • "Darrin Brinsden, from Rocket, led us through the development of our first ‘real’ Digital Strategy. Rocket’s knowledge of us through previous assignments meant they could put the ‘right’ person forward to help us – Darrin was that person. We now have a strategy that is practical and intuitive, one that makes sense and talks to our future business and hence, is easy to get organization buy-in. Darrin led us to a practical business outcome, not an IT ‘looking’ outcome. This required skills which would extract pertinent business information from us and convert that into a readable business support document. The outcome was fantastic – with instant buy-in from people leaders and Councilors – the easy language and story hitting the mark. We are now onto delivery through the supporting roadmap, which Rocket are also helping us with."

He was my Project Manager for the build and fitout of the International Broadcast Centre as well as Project Manager for the fitout of a new OB Van. All I can say is David is a top Project Manager. We had challenging issues around both projects and David's project management skills combined with his warmth and inter-personal skills saw us thru the day. He has great judgement to do the right thing at the right time. He was a great asset to the RWC Programme and I would have him on my team without any hesitation. He's a safe pair of hands."

  • "Andrew Nelson was engaged by the council to help translate our IS strategy (developed earlier by Rocket Projects) into a roadmap. He hit the ground running, engaging well with the key stakeholders, translating the vision of the strategy and the business requirements in an easily understood roadmap. His ability to take in a lot of information, sieve through it, and produce a very good result is a strength. Andrew has a broad knowledge of IT practices and current trends. He communicates very well, considering how the final result will communicated as he develops it. We also engaged Andrew to drill down into some of the roadmap items and get to the next level of detail. In this capacity he facilitated a workshop and produced more detailed roadmaps and business cases. Andrew is good to work with, delivers when he says he will. The work he has done has been critical in progressing the council’s IS strategy. "

  • "Glenn Philips came into a tough and already on-going multiple work stream technology project, a difficult place to start on a project that had already burnt through two previous project managers. Our project, with immovable deadlines, had a seeming overload of work to be done, by too few people and extremely tight budget. Glenn took over as project manager and using his superior organisational skills, his well-rounded technical and business knowledge, and a calm and focussed attitude, he was able to bring a previously battling project in on time and under budget. There is no doubt that the outcome would have been very different without his influence and management of this project."

  • "Helen took charge of our District Plan Review. We were under pressure from our Councillors to deliver to a deadline as a timely outcome was really important to our community. We had lost key staff which meant we didn’t have specific District Plan experience. Helen initially facilitated a stocktake to understand exactly where we were at. This resulted in the need to recruit specific expert planning capacity and development of a detailed project plan. Only at this point did we really understand where we stood. Helen’s strong leadership, her ability to dive into the detail to provide specific direction and understanding of what specific capability was required, was critical in delivering the quality we needed within the required timeframes. We wouldn’t have made it without her!"

  • "I engaged Rocket Projects to project manage a difficult business integration, bringing together 3 separate entities procured under the CHEP banner by Brambles. The focus of the engagement was to standardise business processes within 17 global offices whilst migrating data and users from legacy systems onto a new release of the in-house CHEP operations management system. Due to business constraints, the timeline for the project was particularly tight and therefore risky. Despite these challenges, Derek Williams provided excellent guidance, negotiating an achievable scope at the start of the project, communicating his plans to managers and staff at all levels, defining a training programme and delivering scope within agreed deadlines. We could not have succeeded with this project without him."

"Hadas was quickly able to assess the situation and rapidly addressed the issues impacting poor project performance. She changed some project team personnel, addressed issues of what she described as a lack of integrity in the team, developed a clearer sense of purpose and was able to take the Project Management Plan and develop an effective implementation approach. The project has to date successfully gone live with modules across all three functional areas and from both vendors. This has involved change management of both administrative and academic users with effective training and communications support... Hadas has been particularly accomplished at key stakeholder management across the many diverse stakeholders in the University and quickly gained the confidence of the Project Steering Group, Executive Sponsors and other key staff."
